TAMASINE

[ta-ma-si-ne]
Japanese for twin, heart & soul

I feel, I notice, I create, intuitively from the heart. Inspired by nature; the water, the shifting light, the weathered textures. Warm, earthy tones, grounded in nature that feel familiar, raw, and timeless. Art is a place for me to get lost in my thoughts, where moments of my life settle into form and tell a story.

My work draws from two worlds. Scandinavian and Japanese. Both celebrate quiet beauty, natural materials and craftsmanship. The idea that something doesn’t need to be polished to be meaningful.

Finding beauty in the imperfect, the worn, the incomplete. A slightly uneven line. A raw edge. A texture that didn’t go exactly as planned. It becomes less about achieving an ideal and more about responding to what’s unfolding in the moment and the feeling.

For me, art is something you fall in love with. It should be timeless, not forced – a meaningful presence in everyday life.
Choosing art isn’t just about filling a wall, it’s about choosing a feeling to return to every day. A story, an experience, a quiet moment that becomes yours.
